Coco Juice - A Healthy Way to Quench Your Thirst
I have been avoiding soft drinks for quite a long time now; although I am able to drink on some occasions, but I try to make sure that I have a minimal intake. Instead, I drink coconut juice because it way healthier than any other drinks, plus you get to appreciate Mother Nature.
Before, coconut juice was quite difficult to find, but not nowadays; you can actually have them at the malls near you - what a convenience. Coco Fresco quenches my thirst in a very healthy way.
Here are some reason on why you should drink coco juice than any other drinks around:
1. Keeps the Body Hydrated - it contains all five of the same electrolytes that the body has including sodium, potassium, chloride, calcium and magnesium.
2. Aids in the Weight Loss Process - it has low calorie content.
3. Boosts the Immune System - it helps to strengthen the body's immune system against a variety of viruses and other diseases.
4. Improves Circulation - it aids in the cleaning of the digestive tract.
5. Treats Urinary Infections - it is effective in treating kidney and urethral stones; it breaks up kidney stones making them easier to push out.
6. Acts as a Source of B Vitamins - it has B vitamins provide energy to the body, decrease anxiety and depressive symptoms, help with muscle functions and increase the immune response.
7. Promotes Skin Health - it acts as a light moisturizer which also decreases excessive oil on the skin.

I usually ride buses every other day of the week. Usually vendors go inside the buses and sell food. But one day - 'inside the bus on my way home, it was my first time to see a vendor who was selling Special Buko Pie, he caught my attention, so I thought of buying a box of it - it was for P120.

Yummy Sunday: Cupcakes
This picture was taken last New Year’s Eve – in our Media Noche celebration. These cupcakes were ordinary ones that you can buy in any supermarkets; I just bought candies of different shapes and colors to bring more life. As what they say, that you should prepare and eat sweets and colorful foods (in round shapes) on New Year’s Eve to welcome the year with positivity and to have bountiful year ahead.
Have a great week everyone! cheers! =)

Importance of Vitamin C
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is a very important required nutrient for the proper functioning of our bodies. It’s vital for the formation and maintenance of connective tissue, amino acid metabolism and protection from chemicals.
Vitamin C helps several metabolism reactions; so, it’s very much important for proper digestion. It is also an important antioxidant. It helps produce protein collagen that structures bones, muscles, cartilages and blood vessels. It also helps in maintaining healthy teeth, bones and capillaries; advances the absorption of iron. It helps in maintaining healthy body tissues and a strong immune system.
To have high content of vitamin C, it’ll lead to healthy gums. It also improves vision and is extremely effective in healing wounds and burns. It also helps reducing the effects of too much sun exposure and decreases the blood sugar of diabetics.
Vitamin C also plays a big role in protecting us from heart diseases, common colds and flush, high blood pressure, cancer, asthma, diabetes and osteoarthritis.
Here are some sources of Vitamin C:
Broccoli, Strawberries, Cauliflower, Grapes, Pineapple, Lemonade, Avocados, Bananas, Onions, Tomatoes, Oranges, Carrots, Blueberries, Cabbages, mango, watermelon, winter squash, red peppers, raspberries, blueberries, cranberries, kale, asparagus, green beans, cloves, basil, green peas, sweet potato, garlic, plum, pear, corn, chili pepper, guava and figs.
Most people (like me) who don't get much Vitamin C from food take Vitamin C supplement.
Vitamin C supplement contains from 250-1000 milligrams per pill.
As for me, I'm taking FERN - C. FERN C is Vitamin C in Sodium Ascorbate form. Unlike other Vitamin C supplements, FERN-C is NON- ACIDIC. Therefore, it provides all the benefits of Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C, but without the sting.

Quick Power Lunch at 7-ELEVEN
My very own quick power lunch - especially when I'm almost run out of time, and I don't want to be late to my appointments nor hungry in meetings for hours. Good thing there are 7-ELEVEN stores nearby. There’s one across our building, so I can just run across anytime I need just about anything – what a relief indeed!
Krispy Kreme, you're always in my dreams!
This picture was taken at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts store at Mall of Asia. I was so delighted to visit the store - especially that my city doesn't have Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Stores yet. Plus I have a sweet tooth - and definitely, the said visit satisfied my cravings!
I was more elated to see their factory inside the store - wow! It gave me an idea on how their delicious doughnuts were specially made.

Be Your Own Star!
A career woman like me has always pressures and stresses at work and in life as a whole; but despite of these, I still find ways to relax and unwind to recharge myself for the upcoming challenges and battles. I usually treat myself at the spa, having mini travels and good food.
And when I travel, I really find time for friends who are in the places I visit. With me in this picture is Marie - a close friend since college days at Silliman University, who is working in one of the Call Centers in Cebu City. We were catching up after years of not seeing each other. After her graveyard shift, we met up at Starbucks, because I have to leave for Cagayan de Oro on that same day.

Have Yogurts to Avoid Hurts
I love yogurts! Yogurts are one of the healthiest foods you can take. I always make it a point to have stocks in my fridge – not just to keep up good health, but eating yogurts makes me happy – which also makes me healthy mentally.
NestlĂ© brings out the new twist of yogurt - NestlĂ© FRUIT SELECTION YOGURT with JELLY! It is indeed “Jellicious”! Jelly on top and yogurt at the bottom with bits of fruits - strawberry, buco pandan, melon and peach mango!
Some reasons why yogurt is good for you:
1. It helps help proper digestion. A lot of people worldwide are lactose intolerants and don’t have enough digestive enzymes to break down sugar – which are found in milk and other dairy products. Yogurt contains healthy bacteria which can help the stomach digest and break down the lactose properly.
2. It has the good bacteria to strengthen immune system. Studies show that people who eat yogurt at least twice a day for months increase the levels of protein in the body that fight diseases.
3. It fights ulcers. Ulcers can be very distractive due to pain; and sufferers have to take antibiotics to treat their ulcers, but this is hassle and expensive. Yogurt gives active cultures that can keep harmful bacteria under control naturally – without drugs.
4. It contains calcium. We all know that calcium strengthens our teeth and bones – to get rid from having osteoporosis; it contains about 40% of the daily recommended calcium intake.

Certified Cookies Lover
Yes, I'm a certified cookies lover! I can't explain why; I feel depressed if I don't have stocks at home. There is a innate joy I feel to have and eat cookies paired with a glass of fresh milk. And one of my favorite cookies is Oreo Cookies. Well, the picture above explains best. My friend Lani caught me checking out new flavors and fillings.

You deserve good treats!
In this fast-paced world, we deserve treats – especially after a long and tiring day. There are many ways to treat yourself; one is, buy something that you like or would make you happy, have good conversations with people who are dear to you, have a good beauty rest and of course, not to forget, good food.
There are lots of good foods around, but we are looking for something that would tickle (especially) our sense of taste. I suggest to treat yourself at Auntie Anne's and be stunned by its variety of pretzels and goodies. We rarely see pretzels around; so dining at Auntie Anne’s is indeed a nice treat.
